A Classic Summer Day on a Tahoe Lake
Early August in 2020. We spent a day out on the water at a lake near Tahoe. It was one of those perfect, hot Sierra summer days with an impossibly bright, clear blue sky. The main agenda was just to get out on the dock and stay cool in the water.
The water was incredibly clear and that distinct deep blue. We spent most of the afternoon just floating on a giant inflatable raft tied to the dock and soaking up the sun. Other boats and jet skis criss-crossed the lake in the distance, but our little spot was pretty calm. It was the definition of a relaxing summer day.
Later on, we went for a walk through the nearby forest. It was a strange time, taking selfies with our masks on, but it was nice to be out in the trees. A pretty standard but welcome Tahoe weekend.
