A Few Quiet August Days and Bathtime for the Dogs

A few quiet days at home this week in early August. Nothing out of the ordinary, just the usual summer routine settling in. The house was calm, and I spent most of the time indoors.

I'm not sure who decided it was bath time, but at some point on one of these evenings, I found one of the dogs just sitting in the empty tub. He peeked his head over the side, then settled in, looking surprisingly patient about the whole thing. He just sat there for a while, looking straight at me as if to ask what was happening next. There wasn't any protest, just quiet acceptance.

Eventually, his partner in crime joined him. They sat side-by-side in the white tub, looking a little uncertain but generally cooperative. It's always a funny, slightly pathetic scene: two dogs waiting for a bath they don't particularly want but seem to accept as an inevitable part of life. Just another ordinary evening at home.
