A Few Quiet Days in the East Bay
Just a regular few days at home in late June. We spent part of one afternoon at a local park where there was an old red Farmall tractor parked near some goats. Nothing eventful, just a nice, sunny day.
The weather was perfect for flying a kite, with a steady breeze and not a cloud in the sky. We got this colorful one up pretty high and just let it hang there against the blue. It's a simple thing, but satisfying to watch.
Driving around, the hills were already their typical golden-brown for early summer. The dry grass makes the green of the trees and the blue of the reservoirs stand out so much more. This is the classic landscape for this time of year, all quiet and warm under the sun.
