A Quiet January Day at Home in the Nursery

Just a quiet Thursday at home back in mid-January, 2010. The day's main event was centered around the nursery. Our daughter was getting good at standing and seemed perfectly content to just hang out in her dark wooden crib, holding onto the rail.

She wasn't entirely alone, either. Our black-and-white cat, apparently unconcerned with personal space, decided to join her for a nap. He just curled up right at the foot of the crib while she stood there, and they seemed perfectly happy sharing the space.

Most of my photos from the day are just of her smiling, showing off the few teeth that had recently come in. The room was dim, but a warm lamp on the side table cast a cozy glow over everything. It was a simple, happy scene. I remember just hanging out in there with her for a while, eventually grabbing a quick photo of the two of us together before the day wound down.
