Sunny Afternoon in the Garden with the Dog
Nothing planned today, just an afternoon in the backyard with the dog. The bougainvillea over the fence is going hard right now — the whole top of the fence line is pink, and it's been dropping petals all over the flagstone and the gravel. I should probably sweep, but they'll just keep coming.
The dog claimed the patio chair before I got a chance to sit in it and spent most of the afternoon there, sprawled against the toucan pillow with her front paws hanging off the edge of the cushion. She barely moved except to shift when the shade did. Every so often she'd lift her head at something on the other side of the fence, decide it wasn't worth it, and put it back down.
By late afternoon there were more petals on the seat cushion than she seemed to notice or care about.
