A Weekend Snowed In at Home in Tahoe

The storm rolled in on Saturday, March 2nd. The first thing to do was get the wood stove going and keep it fed. It was a good day to be inside, watching the weather turn from the warmth of the house.

Looking out the windows, the snow just kept falling. It started to pile up against the glass of the doors, and the pines outside grew heavier and heavier. By evening, the world outside was quiet and white.

By the next morning, everything was completely buried. The car was just a soft mound in the driveway, not going anywhere soon. The view from every window was just a wall of white, with the snow reaching halfway up the glass in some places.

The dogs seemed content to watch it all from their spot by the window. There wasn't much else to do but stay inside, stay warm, and watch the landscape get deeper and deeper under the snow.
