Late October Walks and Views Around the City
A couple of regular days at home at the end of October. The first evening, the light faded quickly, and the In-N-Out sign was already glowing against the dusk sky. Later that night, I went for a short walk. The city felt pretty quiet. Streetlights illuminated the trees from below, and the old neon sign at The Cannery stood out against the dark.
The next day was the complete opposite—bright, clear, and sunny. It felt good to get outside and walk around the neighborhood. The sky was a solid blue over the brick buildings and down towards the water. From the street, I could see Hyde Street Pier and the hills across the bay clearly.
The park by Ghirardelli Square was full of sunlight. These long beds of vibrant purple flowers were blooming, which really stood out against the green grass. On the way back, I passed a line of white Waymo cars parked by a fence. They're just part of the normal street traffic here now.
