Peonies and Freesias for a Sunday in San Marcos
Peonies and freesias in a vase this Sunday in San Marcos, and that was about the extent of the day's ambition.
The big coral one has opened all the way, so wide you can see the whole orange center, threads going in every direction. The pink ones are still tight and holding their shape. The freesias fill in underneath, yellow shading toward orange, with a few buds that haven't done anything yet.
Peonies never last long once they get to this stage, so I keep coming back to the coral one before it starts dropping petals. Probably has a day or two left.
