A Bright, Clear Day for a Coastal Hike

It was a perfectly clear Saturday in mid-November, so I went for a hike. The day started with views looking back towards the bay, clear enough to see the Richmond bridge and the distant city skyline. The hills were dry and golden, typical for this time of year, but the air was crisp.

The trail eventually wound its way out to the coast. The sun was bright, making the Pacific gleam. I followed a path that hugged the cliffs, offering views down to the dark rock formations and the waves washing in. The coastline here is rugged, with steep drop-offs and scattered cypress trees clinging to the edge.

It wasn't too crowded, just a few other people out on the trail. The path dropped a bit closer to the water, where I stopped to watch the surf crash against the shore. It was a simple, straightforward hike, exactly what the day called for.
