A Sunny November Day Hiking on the Coast

We took advantage of a clear, sunny day on November 16th for a local hike. The sun was surprisingly intense for mid-autumn, casting a strong glare as we started out on a rocky beach. We stopped for a quick selfie among the tide pools and dark rock formations before heading for the trail.

The path led up from the water and onto the coastal hills. It was a simple dirt trail winding through dry scrub and grass, with the Pacific visible just below us. The sky was completely clear, and the ocean looked calm from our vantage point on the hillside.

The best view on the trail probably belonged to our kid, who spent most of the hike riding on my shoulders. It was a straightforward and beautiful walk, just a few hours spent outside with family on a warm afternoon. It felt more like a late summer day than the middle of November.
