A Cozy Christmas at Home, 2022

Christmas 2022 was a quiet one spent at home in Tahoe. The festivities kicked off with a special visitor on Christmas Eve. Santa himself stopped by, posing for photos with the kids first on the couch, and then again in front of the decorated tree. It was a classic holiday moment, right in our living room.

The rest of the evening was filled with simple traditions. We had a plate of decorated holiday cookies—gingerbread men and Christmas trees covered in frosting. Later, some of us gathered around the coffee table for a board game, a nice way to spend the time together as it got dark outside.

Christmas morning was relaxed and slow-paced. Presents were opened on the floor next to the tree. Even our cat, wearing a festive white collar, got in on the action, though he seemed more interested in the crinkling wrapping paper than the gifts themselves. It was just a comfortable, peaceful holiday spent with family.
