A Dalmatian Halloween Back in 2013

This was Halloween back in November 2013. The kids went all-in on a Dalmatian theme, and we committed to it completely, right down to the face paint. They even had little name tags—'Lucky' and 'Jewel'.

We spent a while getting the makeup just right, with the white base, black noses, spots, and whiskers. The one playing Lucky even got a classic spot over one eye. The costumes themselves were simple spotted outfits with matching hats that had floppy black ears. It was a pretty effective look, all told.

I took these photos on our front porch just before we headed out. They were squatting down, posing like little puppies, full of that pre-trick-or-treating energy. It was a good, simple Halloween, just focused on the fun of dressing up and becoming a character for an evening.
