Family Beach Day and Sunset Cliffs
Family beach day, dogs included. We got down to the water early enough that there was hardly anyone else on the sand — both dogs went straight for the wet part and stayed there, trotting the tide line while the rest of us waded in behind them. The kids and the little black dog ended up furthest out, the dog getting hauled back from the waves more than once.
The old brown dog mostly stood at the edge and supervised, tail up, watching everyone else do the work.
Later we made our way over toward Sunset Cliffs. The water was low enough to pick along the rocks under the bluff, and the dog planted himself on a flat rock out in the shallows like he owned it. We turned back before the tide made the rocks a problem.
