Beach, Cliffs, and Family

A quiet first of July. We spent the day down at the coast, letting the dogs run themselves tired in the surf. The sun was bright but the air was hazy, creating these stark silhouettes against the water. Everyone, human and canine, seemed happy to be playing in the shallow waves.

We walked down the beach to the cliffs, which were glowing in the afternoon light. It's always impressive to stand at the base of them and see all the different layers of rock. Even the dogs found spots to perch and watch the tide.
