Lake Days

We spent a lot of time just looking at the water, which takes on a deep, solid blue under the high summer sun. From the shore, you can see how clear it is near the edge, with the bottom visible through shades of green and blue.

One afternoon we got up to a higher elevation to look out over the surrounding landscape. From up there, you get a much better sense of the scale of the mountains and the different peaks that stretch out for miles. There was a bit of haze in the distance, which is pretty typical for this time of year.
