A Day on Stage and on the Water
A packed Saturday in late April, starting indoors. We went to see a youth theater production—it looked like 'Alice in Wonderland.' The stage was filled with kids in elaborate costumes, from playing cards to the Queen of Hearts, all performing under the bright red stage lights. It was impressive to see such a large cast.
After the show, we took advantage of the perfect sunny afternoon and went for a sail. It was bright and clear out on the water. The kids put on their life vests and immediately found a spot on the bow to soak up the sun as we made our way out into the bay.
The water was pretty calm, and we cruised around for a few hours. We passed under a bridge and watched the city skyline from a distance. It was a simple, great way to spend the second half of the day, just being out on the water together before heading back to the marina.
