A Quiet Weekend at Home with Bandit

A few quiet days at home in mid-May. There wasn't much going on, which was a welcome change of pace. My primary subject was, as is often the case, Bandit. He spent a good amount of time just perched on the bed, watching everything, his expressions shifting with every little sound.

He has these moments where he's intensely focused on something just out of frame, and then he'll turn and look right at me, ears going in different directions. The light was soft and the house was quiet. It’s these small, in-between moments that make up most of our days here.

After a while, all that intense observation tired him out. I found him completely asleep on the couch, flipped onto his back with his paws in the air. It’s his go-to position for a deep nap, when he’s totally relaxed. Just another simple, uneventful day spent indoors.
