A Day Out at Bell's Cafe and a Backyard Pool

We started the day with a stop at Bell's Eccentric Cafe. I'd forgotten about the wooden entryway with the big metal sun face medallion. We took the requisite photos outside by the iconic arrow sign on the building's brick facade.

The main event for the day, though, was a pool party. We spent the rest of the afternoon in a classic backyard setup with a big in-ground pool, a diving board, and lots of green foliage around the fence. The American flag was flying by the pool.

The kids spent most of their time on the various inflatable rings and turtles floating in the bright blue water. A few of us went off the diving board, creating some significant splashes. It was just a relaxed afternoon hanging out, watching everyone swim and play. The sky was a bit overcast, but it was the perfect temperature for a day in the water.
