A Few Days Away in Calistoga, California
We took a short trip up to Calistoga for a few days in early August. After settling in, we relaxed for a bit on the patio before heading out to explore. The area is beautiful, with vineyards lining the roads against a backdrop of green trees and hills.
Our first attempt at dinner didn't quite go as planned. We'd picked a place called Lovina, but arrived to find a 'CLOSED' sign hanging right under their neon one. We took a couple of smiling selfies to remember the moment before finding another spot, Pacifico, which was warmly lit against the evening sky.
After eating, we walked around town as it got dark and came across a large, illuminated red heart sculpture, which made for a great photo op.
The next day was all about the vineyards. It was sunny and bright, a perfect day for it. We visited a couple of different places, taking in the views of the grapevines stretching out towards the mountains under the clear blue sky.
