A Few Days in Cambridge, Late June
First full day of a few days in Cambridge. We're at the Graduate, which backs right onto the Cam — the welcome sign is painted on a wooden shed at the edge of the hotel lawn, gazebo and all. The river path starts a few steps from it, so that's where the morning went: flat water, willows on the far bank, punts somewhere upstream we never caught up to.
Evening was the walk into the centre. Sticks'n'Sushi has taken over a big brick building near the museum, and around the corner the Corn Exchange was lit up green and pink for whatever was on that night. Honest Burgers sits directly next to it on Corn Exchange Street, in a corner building with a copper dome gone fully green. Out front, a yellow sign warning of graduation ceremonies starting July 10 — three days of delays, parking suspended. We'll be gone by then.
