A Few Days of Good Food Around the Bay Area

A quiet mid-June weekend at home in the Bay Area. The days were pretty standard, but punctuated by some really good meals out. We didn't do much else, just bounced between a few local spots when we got hungry.

One lunch started with this fried chicken bao, served on a classic blue and white patterned plate. It came piled with pickled vegetables and fresh greens, a perfect little meal.

Another time, it was a completely different vibe. A deep white bowl held a beet and radish salad with a perfectly poached egg sitting on top, sprinkled with what looks like chia seeds. The colors were incredible. We also had another beautifully plated salad on a patterned dish, this one with greens, blistered cherry tomatoes, and some kind of savory pastries tucked in. Just a snapshot of a few meals over a couple of days.
