A Few Days on the Water in Mid-June

Spent a few days at home in mid-June just getting out on the water. We took the boat down the ramp under a bright, clear sky. The sun was already pretty strong, and you could really see how the shoreline had receded, but there was still plenty of deep blue water to explore.

Out on the main part of the lake, the afternoon sun was hitting the surface hard, making everything sparkle. We spent some time towing the inflatable around in the chop. It was just a standard, sunny day out there, feeling the wind and the spray. Nothing too eventful, just a typical summer afternoon.

The light started to change later on. Some high, wispy clouds moved in, softening the landscape and casting long shadows from the forested hills. The water in the coves grew calm and reflective. It was a quiet end to a simple stretch of days spent close to home.
