A Few Late April Days by the Water

A quiet weekend at home toward the end of April. We had that bright, high-altitude sun, the kind that feels warm on your face even when the air is still crisp. Spent some time down by the river where the water was running clear and green from the snowmelt, reflecting the tall pines that line the bank.

Took the dog out for a walk on one of the trails near the lake. He was happy to be out, exploring the dirt path that winds through the trees. You can see the lake peeking through the pines before the view opens up completely.

The water was calm and the shore was quiet. It's always a striking contrast this time of year, standing by the water under a warm sun while looking out at the snow that's still clinging to the mountains in the distance. Just a normal few days, enjoying the change of season.
