A Football Saturday at Michigan Stadium
Back in early September of 2009, we made it out for a game day in Ann Arbor. The day started in the parking lot with a classic tailgate setup next to an RV. We brought the newest and youngest member of the family along for her first game day experience, though she mostly slept right through the pre-game festivities.
It was a perfectly clear and sunny day, ideal for sitting in the stands. We met up with friends in the parking lot before heading into the stadium. Inside, the scale of the place was on full display. The Big House was packed, a sea of yellow shirts filling the stands from the field all the way to the top.
We watched the marching band perform on the field before kickoff, and the energy from the massive crowd was palpable. Seeing tens of thousands of people cheering and waving yellow towels is a sight to behold. It was a classic college football Saturday from start to finish.
