A Graduation Portrait Session at San Diego State

Flew down from Tahoe for a weekend in late April for a graduation portrait session. We spent the afternoon on the San Diego State University campus, and the weather was exactly what you hope for in Southern California — sunny, warm, and clear.

The campus architecture is beautiful, with all the white Spanish-style buildings and palm trees providing a classic backdrop. We spent a couple of hours walking around, mostly near Hepner Hall, using the great afternoon light. We made sure to get a few shots with the SDSU pennant to mark the occasion.

After we finished up on campus, my client did a quick outfit change from a black dress to a white one, and we drove over to the coast. We found a spot on the cliffs just in time to catch the last light of the day. The sun setting over the ocean created a soft, golden haze, which was a nice, calm way to wrap up the shoot.
