A Late December Holiday Season at Home

Inside, the holiday season was in full swing. We had our tree up, with presents already piling up underneath. Our dog was a very patient participant in the festivities, letting herself be dressed up in a red tutu and then a full Santa outfit for a series of photos by the tree. She seemed to take it all in stride.

We even had a second, smaller tree that year – a white one decorated with bright pink butterflies, which felt like a fun and quirky addition. After the parties and the presents, the rest of the time was just quiet family moments. We took the obligatory selfies in front of the tree, starting with the nice smiles and ending, as we usually do, with making the goofiest faces we could manage. It was a pretty typical, lovely holiday at home.
