A Late June Wedding and Quiet Days by the Lake
A quiet stretch of days at home in late June. The weather was clear for a wedding taking place right on the water, with the lodge sitting up on the dunes. The ceremony was timed perfectly with the sunset.
The floral arch was set up against the horizon, and it was one of those evenings with an incredibly clear, colorful sunset. I watched the sun dip below the water line, casting a bright orange glow that slowly faded to deep blue. It was a pretty spectacular backdrop.
The following days were a bit more overcast and quiet. I spent some time walking the sandy paths through the dune grass. There were always a few boats moving across the water, making their way in or out of the nearby channel. A pretty standard summer scene around here.
The week ended with another notable sunset, this one softer with pink clouds over the dark silhouette of the dunes. A calm end to a nice period at home.
