New Year's Eve 2002 Out with Everyone

New Year's Eve, the whole group out together, everybody actually in one place for once. We got a booth at a lounge done up in gold fabric floor to ceiling, with "Happy New Year" spelled out in lights on the wall behind us and a bucket of party hats waiting on the back of the couch.

Dinner and drinks stretched into the night. There was a run to another bar somewhere in the middle of it — the guys posed up with their glasses like it was a photo op — and then back to the booth for the countdown.

Someone found a crown made of white feathers and rhinestones and it got passed from head to head most of the night. By the end there was a mint leaf on somebody's tongue and lipstick on everyone's cheeks. Good way to close out the year.
