Guitar, Beers, and Friends on a Saturday Night

A Saturday night in January, 2003. The evening started at home, with someone casually playing an acoustic guitar by the window unit.

Later, a group of us headed out to a local bar. It was a dimly lit, comfortable kind of place with exposed brick and strings of lights hanging over the bar. You can see the specials written on a chalkboard in the background of a few shots.

It was just a classic night out. We found a corner, got some drinks, and spent the night catching up and taking pictures. There were a lot of goofy faces, group hugs for the camera, and thumbs-ups. The direct flash on the camera catches a lot of red-eye and surprised expressions.

The night ended with a whole group of us crowded around a small table completely covered in glasses of dark beer, all giving a final thumbs-up.
