Kids' Show at Red House San Francisco
The drive down to San Francisco was entirely for a night watching the kids' show at Red House. The venue operates like a standard small club with a low stage and heavy curtains, just set up with folding chairs on the floor for the audience.
Different groups cycled through their sets as the evening went on. One trio featured a guitarist with a red Stratocaster and a singer up front, while the drummer played from behind a kit that was nearly as tall as she was. Between songs, an instructor helped shuffle the kids around the stage to swap spots for the next number. The drummer stayed anchored on the throne in tall silver boots, sticks ready over the snare.
