A Saturday Afternoon with the Baby and the Cat

A quiet Saturday at home in late January. We didn't do much, just spent the day inside. Here she is in that teal Bumbo seat, wearing her 'I Love Daddy' bib and just taking in the world.

Later, after an outfit change, we moved over to the yellow couch. She's getting strong enough to sit up on her own for a bit, and mostly just stared at me with these huge, serious blue eyes while I had the camera out. She held this very solemn expression for a long time before letting out a massive yawn.

Our cat eventually got curious and came over to investigate. She watched him very intently as he got close, seemingly fascinated by this furry creature. He gave a few tentative sniffs and then moved on, but it was a sweet, quiet little moment between them. The whole session ended with one of her first real smiles I managed to capture.
