A Short Trip Exploring Panama City and its Waterways
We spent a couple of days in Panama in late March. After arriving, the first stop was the classic photo op at the huge colorful sign on the waterfront, with palm trees and a cloudy sky overhead. We spent the first day exploring the city on foot, wandering down streets with brightly painted walls and interesting murals.
Later in the afternoon, we found a spot along the coast to watch the city from a distance. The modern skyline stood out across the water, framed by blooming bougainvillea. It was a quiet moment to just sit and take in the view as the light started to fade.
The next day we got out of the city itself. We put on life vests and took a boat out on a lake, surrounded by green hills under a much sunnier sky. It was a totally different perspective from the urban environment, seeing the more natural landscape of the region from the water.
