A Snowy Christmas Week with Family in Tahoe

We spent Christmas week of 2017 up in the mountains around Lake Tahoe. It was good to get some fresh snow and be out on the slopes. We got a few runs in as a family, enjoying the crisp air and the surrounding pine trees on a clear day.

A big part of the holiday, of course, was the visit to see Santa. The kids got their one-on-one time next to the big decorated tree, and then the whole group jumped in for a photo. The festive sweaters, including the 'Oh Snap!' gingerbread one, were out in full force.

The kids spent a lot of time practicing on the mountain, and you could see their confidence growing. The view from up there, looking out over the snowy peaks, was incredible. Evenings were quiet, spent inside by our own Christmas tree, opening a few gifts. It was a simple, classic way to spend the holiday.
