Snowy Tailgate with Friends at Palisades Tahoe

Drove over from Truckee for a tailgate with friends in the Palisades lot. Fresh snow on everything — the trees up the canyon were still loaded, and clouds kept moving through and then breaking open to blue.

Somebody had rigged a disco ball on a pole over the folding tables, and there was a wok going on a camp burner right there in the snow. The outfit situation ran the full range: retro one-piece ski suits, an American flag onesie, a full dinosaur costume, fur hats. We were underdressed by comparison in our regular beanies.

Snowboards and skis leaned against the van, and a dog worked the crowd. Snow flurried on and off the whole time and nobody moved indoors, because there wasn't an indoors. Cold hands around a cold can, which is a questionable system.
