A Spring Afternoon at the Greenhouse
We spent a weekend afternoon in March 2007 wandering through a local greenhouse. It was bright and warm inside the glass building, a welcome change from what I remember as a cool early spring day.
My husband had our baby strapped into a carrier. The light was fantastic, filtering through the glass panes overhead as we walked through the rooms full of lush plants. Our baby seemed content, just looking around at everything.
The orchid collection was probably the highlight. The colors were incredible, and I spent most of my time trying to capture them up close. I got a few shots of some vibrant red and white blooms and others with delicate pink and yellow stripes. It was a perfect, quiet way to spend a Saturday.
