A March Afternoon of Hats and Many Outfits

A quiet day at home in early March 2007 turned into an impromptu photoshoot. We had a collection of outfits and hats, and it seemed like a good time to try them on. It started with a summery theme, despite the time of year. First, a pink dress and a straw hat, which got a pretty happy reaction.

Then came a quick change into a striped swimsuit and a white sun hat. The teal Bumbo chair served as the photo studio backdrop for this portion of the session. We added some flower-shaped novelty sunglasses for a few shots, which resulted in a more serious, contemplative expression.

After exhausting the warm-weather looks, we moved on to a more formal, season-appropriate ensemble. The setting changed from the floor to a tufted blue upholstered chair. The final outfit was a deep purple velvet coat with a matching hat, complete with white stripes. The smiles returned for this last set of photos.
