A Summer Wedding by the Water, August 2003

Looking back at these photos from our wedding in August 2003. I remember the moments before the ceremony, looking out the window at the water and the hills on the other side. The light coming through the window was soft and warm.

The ceremony itself was outside on a wooden deck right at the water's edge. We stood under an arch decorated with white and orange flowers. It was a beautiful, sunny day. We took photos right there on the deck and in the nearby gardens after saying our vows.

The reception was under a tent on the grass. We had our first dance, surrounded by big floral arrangements. Later, we cut the multi-tiered cake, which was also decorated with fresh flowers. It was a straightforward, happy day spent with the people closest to us, and it’s strange how clearly I can still recall the details.
