A Summer Weekend of Swim Meets and Birthdays

This mid-July weekend in 2016 was a whirlwind of kid activities. It was swim meet season, so we spent most of our time in the bright sun by the pool. The girls were in their matching navy and yellow SSC suits, full of energy and goofing off for the camera in the backyard between their heats.

After the meet wrapped up, the focus shifted to a birthday party. We all went out to a restaurant with an outdoor patio. The table was covered in bright pink gift bags and wrapping paper. It was a sweet end to a busy, sun-drenched weekend, watching the girls huddle around to see the birthday cards and presents. Just a typical, perfect summer weekend at home.
