A Sunny Hillside Wedding in California
Flew to California in late July of 2017 for a family wedding. The days leading up were full of small, chaotic family moments—kids being kids, cousins catching up. Before the ceremony, the flower girls, dressed in pink, were already posing for photos with their bouquets.
The wedding itself was held outdoors on a beautiful, warm day. The venue was on a grassy hill that overlooked a wide valley, with mountains hazy in the distance. Guests arrived on a dirt path that wound through the landscaping. It was a stunning location, perfectly suited for the clear, sunny weather.
Everyone gathered for the ceremony in front of a simple metal arbor draped in white fabric, with the valley as the backdrop. The wedding party stood under the canopy for photos afterward, and you could see the whole landscape stretch out behind them. It was a simple, beautiful setup that let the location speak for itself.
It was great to capture the newly married couple under the arbor after it was all official. The sun was bright, the day was hot, and it was just a really lovely, relaxed celebration.
