A Tale of Two Christmas Trees and Two Dogs
We got into the holiday spirit at the end of November in 2018. This year, we ended up with two very different Christmas trees. The first was a bright white one, which we covered in a jumble of colorful, retro-style ornaments. With its lights on, it really lit up the room.
Our second tree was a more traditional green one, decorated with a simpler green, white, and red theme. We set it up in the corner by the fireplace, put a soft white skirt underneath, and placed the first few wrapped presents there. The poinsettias we had around the house added to the festive feel.
Once everything was set up, it was time for the obligatory pet portraits. Our smaller dog was the first volunteer, posing patiently under the tree branches amongst the gifts. He sat pretty still for the camera.
Then his buddy joined him. Getting them both to sit and look in the same direction at the same time is always a bit of a production, but they cooperated eventually. Seeing them there in the warm glow of the tree lights, it finally felt like the holidays had begun.
