A Weekend of Skiing

A weekend from early March 2013. We drove up to the mountains to catch some of the spring snow. The sun was out and the sky was a deep blue, a classic California ski day. It was my daughter's turn to learn, and we spent most of the time on the gentlest slopes, with me holding on to her jacket.

She was getting the hang of it, managing the pizza wedge and staying upright. It's always fun to see the mountain through the eyes of a new skier. Everything is an adventure, even just getting on and off the lift. The bright red snowsuit against the white snow made her easy to spot.
