An Easter Sunday with Baxter the Bunny

We spent the Easter holiday away from home in April of 2015. The day was bright and sunny, warm enough for sundresses. We were at some kind of outdoor event on a patio, under big blue umbrellas, surrounded by lots of other families also celebrating.

The main attraction for the kids was, of course, the Easter Bunny. This one wore a plaid vest and had a nametag that read "Baxter." The girls were very excited to meet him, and we spent a good amount of time getting photos with him as he made his way through the crowd.

There was a bit of initial shyness, but they warmed up pretty quickly. Looking back at these photos, it's just a simple, classic holiday scene. Everyone is milling around, kids are posing with a giant bunny, and the sun is shining. It was a nice, low-key way to mark the holiday while we were traveling.
