October Afternoon at Home with New Kittens
Stayed in with the new kittens most of the afternoon. The black-and-white one has claimed the carpeted stairs and spent a long stretch draped over the top step, front paws hanging off the edge, watching everything from up there. The gray-and-white one is the shyer of the two — found her wedged under the futon on a pile of blankets, looking up like she'd been caught at something.
Got out the feather wand and that broke the standoff. The white one goes fully vertical for it, up on her back legs swatting, while the other one prefers to pin the feathers to the floor and chew. The little green balls mostly get batted under things and abandoned.
They're still figuring out the apartment. There's a yellow ball sitting in the corner by the brick wall that neither of them has touched yet.
