Dinner and a Warriors Game at Chase Center
Drove down to San Francisco for dinner and a Warriors game. Dinner first, at a place with brass everywhere — a little table lamp shaped like a mushroom, a hazy beer, a salad I mostly finished before we had to head over to Mission Bay.
Chase Center holds 18,064 for basketball and it felt like all of them showed up for the Bucks. Our seats were close enough to read jerseys: Middleton, Holiday, the whole Milwaukee front line working the paint while Klay ran off screens at the other end. Kerr standing on the sideline with his arms crossed for most of it.
By the end everyone around us was on their feet waving the giveaway towels, and I was up there with them, arms over my head. Walking out at 3rd and 16th, the big screen above the entrance was already reset to the season graphic, the crowd spreading out into the dark toward the parking garages.
