Observing the Light and Dogs at Home

Nothing on the calendar in San Marcos today, so the project became observing the light and the dogs as both moved through the house. In the morning the sun came through the big front window onto the pair of yellow swivel chairs, and by afternoon it had stretched a long stripe across the wood floor almost to the black dresser. The dogs tracked it about as closely as I did.

The little black-and-white one claimed a chair and curled up on the woven pillow instead of the seat cushion, facing the hallway like she was on duty. Tucker ended up on the bed upstairs with a wad of blue vet wrap in his mouth — couldn't tell where he got it, but he wasn't giving it up, and he mugged for attention until he got some.

The oxalis on the plant stand between the chairs has gone nearly black-purple. By late afternoon everyone had migrated to the teal bedroom, dog parked on the yellow throw at the foot of the bed, fan running.
