A February Trip to the Disneyland Resort
We headed down to Anaheim in early February 2019. The trip started with a full rainbow over the neighborhood where we were staying, which felt like a good sign. Packing is always a bit of a process, and it seemed like our dog wanted to come along for the ride, making himself at home in an open suitcase before we left.
The first part of the trip was spent at Disneyland. It was a cloudy, gray day, but still interesting to walk around. We went on the 'It's a Small World' boat ride, floating past the iconic white and gold facade and the manicured topiary animals. Inside, it's a familiar, colorful spectacle of animated figures.
The next day was much sunnier. We walked through Cars Land at California Adventure, which really does look like the town from the movie, right down to the rock formations in the background. Seeing Lightning McQueen and the other cars parked on the street was a strange but fun sight. The clear blue sky was perfect for photos, especially looking up at the big Ferris wheel between the palm trees.
