A Few Days on the Water in Coeur d'Alene
We spent a few days in Coeur d'Alene in early August 2020. The evenings were beautiful, with the sun setting over the lake and behind the distant hills. I remember watching from our room as boats and even a seaplane moved across the water near the docks and that distinct white bridge.
Most of our time was spent out on our own boat. We had the family and both dogs with us, cruising out past the city skyline and into the main part of the lake. The weather was a bit overcast during the day, which made for comfortable but sometimes chilly rides.
We did some tubing, towing one of the kids behind the boat across the wide open water. Afterwards, everyone would get cold from the wind and the spray, so there was a lot of time spent wrapped up in a blue blanket, usually with one of the dogs trying to get warm, too. It was a simple trip, mostly just being together on the water, surrounded by the forested hills.
