A Few Nights in Las Vegas, March 2017

We took a trip to Las Vegas for a few days in late March of 2017. The first real look we got of the city was from high up, at night. The view looking down the Strip was exactly what you'd expect—a massive, sprawling grid of light against the dark desert. From that vantage point, you could see the traffic and the distinct glow of each major hotel and casino.

We spent a while just taking in the view from the balcony. It’s one of those scenes that’s hard to capture in a photo, but we tried anyway. We grabbed a few selfies with the whole illuminated city behind us. The air was clear and you could see for miles.

Later on, we met up with a friend and walked through the casinos. We ended up at New York-New York for a bit, posing for a few requisite photos in front of the neon signs. We found a spot inside under these brightly colored ceiling lights. It was just a quick trip, a few nights spent in the constant light and sound before heading back.
