A Few Quiet Days at Home in Late November

It's been a pretty standard week at home. The days are getting shorter, but the sunsets over the water have been especially vivid. I've been spending time on the patio when the sun is out, enjoying the clear skies before it gets too cool.

Inside, we've been focused on small projects and getting the house ready for the holidays. I put out these tall orange candles that feel right for the season. We also finally finished the powder room update—the leaf-patterned wallpaper is bold, but I really love how it turned out. It makes the small space feel special.

I did a little shopping for decorations and came across some simple red and white objects that felt festive without being over the top. Mostly, though, I've just been enjoying the living room, especially in the evenings. The tiled fireplace and all the plants make it feel cozy. One evening, I took a quick walk and ended up at the corner of State and Cedar, just watching the clouds move across the night sky.
