A Few Quiet Days in the Tahoe National Forest
Spent the last few days of August camped out in the Tahoe National Forest. I got the Jeep and trailer settled into a spot among the tall pines, which made a good base for a couple of days spent mostly outdoors.
The main activity was just exploring one of the nearby lakes. The water was calm and deep blue, and the shoreline was a mix of dense forest and rocky banks. The weather was consistent the entire time — bright, clear blue skies with just a few clouds passing through.
It wasn't an eventful trip, just a simple one. The days were spent driving the forest roads and finding different vantage points to see the lake and the surrounding mountains. It was good to just be out in the familiar landscape, watching the late summer light on the water before the season starts to change.
