A Few Quiet Late May Days at Home

Back home for a few days at the end of May. The weather was clear and bright, classic late spring sierra conditions. I spent some time walking along the river, which is running high and clear this time of year. The sun was out, and everything was greening up along the banks.

The light on the water was sharp and brilliant in the middle of the day. You can see the current picking up in certain spots, but it was mostly calm. It felt good just to be outside in the familiar quiet, with only the sound of the river moving through the valley.

We also had a project going on the patio. Finally got this cedar hot tub set up. It took a bit of work to get it level on the pavers, but it's settled in now. Looking forward to some cooler evenings out here once it's fully running.
